I’m a qualified counsellor and clinical supervisor based in Hampshire, working with adult clients across the UK. I’m an Accredited Professional member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, with insurance and an enhanced DBS certificate.
Before training to be a counsellor, I worked in the IT industry for over 15 years but never really felt like it was a good fit for me. I had my own counselling several times over the years and saw how it helped me come to terms with my past and find ways to look after myself. I decided to train to be a counsellor because I wanted to help others to feel happier and more in control of their lives. Along the way I also found out I was neurodivergent which is why I’m passionate about working with people with similar experiences now.
I support clients in looking at problems in their life and any patterns from the past that may no longer be working for them, building awareness of what’s going on for them and their relationships and working on being more compassionate to themselves. I help them explore how to live a life that feels more true to them, not how they’re expected to be by other people.
I tailor sessions to fit individual clients – maybe you want to explore your past or your current relationships, build coping strategies or try creative techniques to understand yourself better. Many clients find that email sessions suit their schedule or energy levels and allow more time to think. Others prefer our video or phone sessions or mix & match.
I will always listen, be compassionate, curious and supportive.
