Are you a counsellor or therapist working with adult clients with eczema?
Do you want to learn about how eczema can affect clients’ mental health and the impact it can have on all areas of their lives?
Eczema can have a devastating effect on someone’s self esteem and relationships, even if they “grow out of it” as an adult. Many people with eczema will have experienced childhood bullying and may feel isolated and self-conscious. There are significant links between eczema and various mental health conditions, as well as an increased likelihood of ADHD and autism. You can read more about this on my blog post here.
I specialise in working with this client group, and I also have lived experience of the issue, having had eczema since childhood. This has included a childhood hospital stay and accessing NHS dermatology services as an adult. I hear so much of my story reflected again and again by my clients.
How does eczema consultation work?
I’m a clinical supervisor and I offer online or phone consultation around working with eczema, where you can discuss specific clients, find out more about the impacts of eczema and explore ways of working with this client group – I’m happy to answer any questions about my own experiences too. You may be perfectly happy with your current supervisor but want additional specialised support around this issue. You’re welcome to come to me for one-off or ad-hoc sessions for this or ongoing supervision.
Consultation session fees are £60 for an hour, and £80 for 90 minutes.

This session fee includes a free copy of my e-book “Counselling Adults With Eczema – An Introductory Guide”.
If you’d rather read the book before deciding whether to work with me, I’ll take the price of the book off your first session – you can buy it here.
If you’re interested in an eczema consultation session, please email me at info@blackcatcounselling.co.uk.
I aim to respond within 48 hours, please check your spam/junk folder if you haven’t had a reply by then.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
